Our Story

Hi there, I'm Ellen – the heart and soul behind Sweet Violet Florals. As the owner, head floral designer, social media maestro, and resident bookkeeper (because, small business life!), my journey into the world of flowers began in 2019, following the loss of my son, Leo. Seeking solace and creativity, I joined forces with my mom in her flower business, falling in love with the art of arranging blooms.

In the tumultuous year that was 2020, I officially launched my business, bravely starting with a horse trailer transformed into a mobile flower cart. Despite the challenges, my passion for crafting beautiful moments blossomed. Over time, I transitioned from the mobile scene to focus on curating enchanting experiences for events and weddings. I also received my floral design certificate from the New York Institute of Art & Design in 2020.

From daily arrangements that brighten your space to the perfect blooms for proms, homecomings, and moments of sympathy – I've got you covered. Whether you've been with me since the beginning or just joined the journey, thank you for being here. I'm excited to connect and create something beautiful for you soon!

Picked with care

While flowers inherently exude beauty, my distinctive touch lies in a style that is undeniably romantic, soft, and inherently feminine. What sets Sweet Violet apart is not just the flowers themselves, but the meticulous curation of each arrangement. I’m passionate about color, spending hours crafting unique and harmonious palettes that elevate your event, wedding, sympathy piece, or even your daily arrangements. I spend hours scrolling through a floral universe, where every bloom I pick is carefully selected to create a beautiful experience. It's not just about pretty flowers; it's about crafting moments that are uniquely yours.

“Thank you for everything you did for our florals for our wedding day. The flowers were an absolute replica of the vision we had for our wedding and we could not have been more impressed with them and your beautiful work!”
